April Ross
April Ross was one of just a handful of women beach volleyball athletes who earned medals in several Olympics. Alix-Klineman is set to compete alongside April Ross in Tokyo in order to claim her third gold medal in the next few days. Ross also hopes to get her first Olympic medal. It could be the last opportunity she gets at age 39. However, she's confident that top honors are firmly within reach. Ross said on NBC Boston that if they play their best, and even play well and they are able to play well, the team will be able to win the gold medal. Therefore, I'm hoping to have some luck too. Ross was born on the 22nd of October, 1982. She was raised in Costa Mesa California where she lived with her parents as well as a sister. She went on to compete in many activities during her time at Newport Harbor High School. While a prep student, she competed in the indoor game of volleyball, as well as basketball and running track. But she stood out at this level. Based on her bio, she played a middle blocker and outside hitter on the volleyball court during her high-school career. The award was presented to her as one of the Gatorade National Circle of Champions player of the Year in 1999 for her achievements. She also won an Orange County Athlete of the of the year for volleyball. Ross and Klineman formed their relationship in 2017 however, Ross had been a beach-scene celebrity for a long time prior to. It's true that she has won numerous events, and one was won by the legendary player of volleyball. For six years from 2007 to 2013 she teamed with Jennifer Kessy who more recently served as her and Klineman's coach. Together together with Kessy Ross, she won the World Championship in 2009, while racing internationally. They were awarded a silver medal at the 2012 Olympic Games held in London. Misty Maytreanor (Jennings) as well as Misty Maytreanor clinched gold overtaking them. Ross Jennings became Walsh Jennings partner in fate when Maytreanor retired. In 2016, the pair won bronze in the Rio Olympics for beach volleyball. Ross was a college athlete for USC Trojans before her pro career. She played during high school, as well as before hitting the beach professionally. Her time at USC was quite impressive. She was a All-American and Pac-10 freshman of the year when she was a teen freshman. The Trojans could also get to the Final Four with her help. Ross had been an international studies major at USC. Margie Ross did not see her daughter make it to the top of beach volleyball. Ross's mother passed away from cancer of the breast in the year 2001. Ross had just become a second-year student at USC. She has kept her parents close to her his heart. Margie has been an inspiration throughout her life, as well as on the beach.
