Reese Witherspoon took her career seriously when she first enrolled at Stanford University. Her early critical successes included parts in movies like Pleasantville and Election however it was her role as Elle Woods in the box office hit Legally Blonde that marked a significant turning point for her career. Witherspoon received one Academy Award for her performance in Walk the Line in 2005. Water for Elephants, This Means War, and Wild are some of her recent movies. Witherspoon, born Laura Jean Reese Witherspoon in New Orleans Louisiana on March 22nd in 1976. The parents of Witherspoon are a medical doctor as well as a registered nurse. Her film credits are The Dictator, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone and The Dictator. An accomplished painter, she has also had her work displayed in many galleries.
