Reese Witherspoon took her career seriously when she first enrolled at Stanford University. Her early critical successes included parts in movies like Pleasantville and Election however it was her role as Elle Woods in the box office hit Legally Blonde that marked a significant turning point for her career. Witherspoon received one Academy Award for her performance in Walk the Line in 2005. Water for Elephants, This Means War, and Wild are some of her recent movies. She received another Oscar nomination for Wild. Witherspoon also has had success in television, as she was a co-star and producer of David E. Kelley's award-winning TV show Big Little Lies. Her film credits are The Dictator, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone and The Dictator. An accomplished painter, she has also had her work displayed in many galleries.
